UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANKS (UST)
[ ] Property history - is this a former gas station location
[ ] Prior industrial use - auto repair, dry cleaner, or manufacturing
[ ] Visible vent pipes - protruding from ground or roof (UST vents)
[ ] Fill pipes or pump islands - evidence of prior fuel storage
[ ] Soil staining or discoloration - brown/yellow staining in ground
[ ] Dead vegetation patterns - grass or plants dead in particular spots
[ ] Historical aerial photos review - prior structures or pumps visible
ASBESTOS-CONTAINING MATERIALS (ACM)
[ ] Construction year check - property built before 1985
[ ] Floor tiles assessment - 9x9 inch vinyl asbestos tiles common
[ ] Pipe and duct insulation - wrapping on mechanical systems
[ ] Ceiling tiles and texture - popcorn ceilings and tiles especially
[ ] Boiler and furnace area - insulation and pipe wrap
[ ] Roofing materials review - older asbestos roofing or shingles
[ ] Siding assessment - transite panels or similar materials
[ ] Joint compound and caulking - pre-1985 products often contain asbestos
